New York City

So as my oldest daughter was reading the family blog. She noticed that our very fun trip to NY city was not included. Well that is because we did the trip on March 26th, hence the winter coats.
This year Tom and I decided that instead of birthday parties we would take the girls into the city. We went with our friends the Smiths.
We caught the train in NJ, and rode it into Grand Central. This was the girls first real train ride, and let me say that it is the way to go (an hour to catch up on reading, and the girls just going on about how excited they were, and no need to pay for parking).
While we were in Manhattan, we shopped at the American Girl store, walked around Central Park to find Balto, (Nicloe read about Balto this year and knew that there was a statue of him somewhere in the park) and then we went back to American Girl for dinner.
We had a great time with just the girls.

The girls enjoyed having their dolls next to them.
It was a fun way for all three girls to celebrate their birthdays, who knows this may turn into a tradition.

New Hair cut

So for all that know me, know that I am a long hair gal.

Well Nicole and I donated our hair on June 1st which is Cancer Awareness Day.

I donated 13" and Nicole donated 8".

We did it in Memory of Tom's father Len Gillis, and in Honor of his Grandmother Ellie and my Grandmother Barbara.

It was an Honor to do this small thing for such wonderfull people.

Fathers Day

Fathers Day was fun. Great Grandmother, Aunt Annie, and Cousin Jamie came down to visit for a long weekend.

Tom spent the morning and some of the afternoon out on the boat (where else?) with Jamie.

The girls got to have fun at the Brandywine River Museum. We walked down by the river and enjoyed the wonderfull weather.

Jaime had to head on back up to NY by mid afternoon, so Tom came back home to a BBQ that I had prepared. It was a nice day to spend with family that we normally don't see for Fathers Day.

Maine

It is always wonderful to go up North. Though this time the trip was not for pleasure. Great Grandfather, Thomas Peterson passed away on April 20, 2008.
Family that we don't usually see came out for grandfathers service.
It was wonderfull to hear all the stories and memories of Tom.
The girls are very luck girls to have know such a wonderfull man.

Daddy Time on the Boat

Can I just say that Tom is so lucky to have girls who like to get dirty. They'll do anything with him, be it hunting, fishing or golfing, or what ever else they can come up with.

I got to stay at home, yay me.

Last Day of School

Nicole officially graduated from Elementary school.

She was awarded with the highest AR ponts in the entire school. She loves reading and this is a reading program.

Ceci's last day was just as eventfull but did not want to participate. She instead joined Tom and I in watcheing her big sisters graduation.

Last Soccer Game

The girls have had such a fun soccer season this Spring. Ceci's team was called Manchester City and Nicole's team was called the Llamas.

Ceci officially graduated from Cattle Hearding (when they all run towards the ball) to a game with actual direction and follow through.

Nicole had a great season with older girls who led by example on the field.

They both grew this season and are looking forward to the fall season.
